Default Do USB Login keys exist?

Just a quick question. This is pretaining to game security and stolen/hacked accounts.

Is there such a game that comes with a non-writable USB Key that contains the serial number/code for a game. Such that in order to play the game, you must insert the USB Key into the USB port and the game will read the USB Key to login for you.

If not, is this technology possible? It would reduce the amount of hacked accounts because the password is physically stored rather than typed in.

Would this be a viable solution?

Alternatively, rather than a static ID/Login on the USB key, would it be possible to have a dynamic password? For example, the USB key stores an algorithm that the game executes to generate the necessary login information.

Yes these things exist, but not for any game I know of. They don't contain a name/password, they just allow the software to run. It's a verification process. I can't see this working for anything that authenticates online. A dynamic password wouldn't work for onlince verification either.

Accounts are typically stolen by three methods. The owner used an extremely simple name/password combo, the owner downloaded a cheat/hack/dupe program which was actually a keylogger, or they gave out their info to someone they thought they could trust.

There were a few accounts stolen via lax security practices on the PlayNC site a while back. But going that route the perpetrator(s) must've had some sort of info to be able to start an attack on an account. A properly configured password should take months to brute force.
